Traditional Home Made Lemonade

It was a warm Spring day and I had spent my afternoon gardening, slowly building up a thirst. Upon finishing the garden and deciding it time to relax, well, what better way to relax after hard work and enjoy the sunny weather other than some homemade lemonade?

I understand there is a lot of sugar in this recipe, however you are more than welcome to experiment and substitute with an alternative sweetener of your choice!

What will I need?

1 cup castersugar
1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 cups sparkling mineral water

What now?

1.      In a large jug combine lemon juice and sugar, stirring until all the sugar has dissolved.

2.      Add Mineral Water.

3.      Refrigerate, or serve straight away for a refreshing treat.
